Guide
Connect AI to your WooCommerce store
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex can work directly in your WooCommerce store: answer questions about products, orders and stock, write product descriptions, improve SEO and audit your catalog. Here is how to connect them in a few minutes, without code and without handing over full access.
How it works
AI assistants connect to other software through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). A WooCommerce MCP server sits between the assistant and your store: it offers tools such as "list products" or "update a description", checks every call against your rules and records what happened. MCPify is such a server, hosted for you and connected to your store through a small WordPress plugin.
Connect in three steps
- Install the free MCPify plugin (WordPress.org listing coming soon; until then, ask Support@MCPify.app for the plugin file) and click Connect to MCPify under WooCommerce › MCPify. WooCommerce asks you to approve an API key for MCPify.
- Create a connection in the MCPify dashboard and choose what the AI may do: start with Read only, or Catalog editor to let it edit products without deleting anything. Prices and customer data stay locked.
- Add MCPify to your AI client with the server URL
https://woo.getmcpify.app/mcpand sign in through your WordPress admin. Then ask, for example: "Which products are out of stock?"

Keep control
- Separate connections per AI client, each with its own permissions per store area: read, change and delete.
- Extra locks for prices, refunds, permanent deletes, media and customer data, off unless you turn them on.
- The AI shows its changes and asks before it saves anything; deletes go to the trash.
- An audit log of every request, allowed or blocked, and one click to revoke a connection.
Questions
Can I connect ChatGPT to my WooCommerce store?
Yes. Add MCPify as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT, sign in through your WordPress admin, and ChatGPT can work with your store within the permissions you set. The ChatGPT guide shows each step.
Can I connect Claude to WooCommerce?
Yes. Add MCPify as a custom connector in Claude (web, desktop or mobile) or run one command in Claude Code, then sign in through your WordPress admin.
Do I need to code or copy API keys?
No. You install a WordPress plugin, approve MCPify's WooCommerce API key with one click and paste one URL into your AI client. Signing in works with your WordPress account.
Is it safe to give AI access to my store?
With MCPify you choose per store area what the AI may read, change or delete. Prices, refunds, permanent deletes and customer data stay locked unless you allow them, the AI asks before it changes anything, and every request is logged.
Does it work with my hosting?
MCPify works with any WooCommerce store reachable over HTTPS with the WordPress REST API enabled. Nothing runs on your server except the small plugin; the AI talks to MCPify, which talks to your store's REST API.
What does it cost?
MCPify has a free plan with read access. Paid plans add write access, and higher plans add ready-made skills, more connections and raw REST access.
